Drums, photographs and webcam projections that, like surveillance cameras, provide perspectives that are not accessible to the outside viewer. In this silent montage, still and moving images complete the spectator’s perceptions.
In Matisse – Gilbert Perlein e Rebecca François
Specially designed for the exhibition, the installation In Matisse showcases the life and work of the modern master and takes us behind the scenes of the creative process. Two drums contain fragments of settings, selected by the artist to immerge us “in” Matisse. Despite the rawness of the material, the settings that are created in the self-lit drums have an almost cinematic atmosphere. The entire installation is conceived as a subjective interior and a creative workshop.
